by David Mamet

September 2011 – The Wynd, Melrose
October 2011 – The Maltings, Berwick-upon-Tweed
March 2012 – Tower Mill Theatre, Heart of Hawick

Firebrand’s third production – David Mamet’s controversial play about education, power and sexual politics, Oleanna – was a tremendous success, playing to enthusiastic audiences both at The Wynd, Melrose and at The Maltings, Berwick.

We thoroughly enjoyed the post-show discussions each night, in which some fascinating points were made on the issues raised in the play. And we gather the debate continued as people travelled home! We’ve since had some great feedback from audience members:

“It was a remarkable performance, really enjoyed the evening and have been talking about it endlessly since.”

“It was fantastic. I can’t recommend it enough.”

“If you don’t want to think – don’t go. If you do, well worth the visit.”
